Gloria Ferrer Sonoma Brut Sparkling Wine Sonoma County

Gloria Ferrer Sonoma Brut Sparkling Wine Sonoma County

Produced using the méthode traditionnelle in Sonoma County’s cool-climate Carneros region, this sparkling wine is crafted from about 88% Pinot Noir and 12% Chardonnay. Grapes are hand-harvested, whole-cluster pressed, cold-fermented, and undergo a secondary, in-bottle fermentation. The resulting cuvée is aged en tirage for at least 18 months, developing creamy autolytic complexity.

👃 Nose

Lifted aromas showcase ripe pear, delicate stone-fruit florals, and toasty almond, all layered over a gentle yeasty character reminiscent of brioche

👅 Palate

The palate is lively yet smooth, with brisk citrus and crisp apple leading into flavors of toasted bread, creamy brioche, and a hint of lemon cream. Fine, persistent bubbles carry rich fruit and toast throughout

🔄 Texture & Finish

Remarkably smooth and well-rounded, it delivers a creamy mid-palate and a toasty, lingering finish, with subtle notes of black cherry, vanilla, ginger, and refreshing mineral lift

🏅 Recognition

  • 90 points from Wine Spectator: praised as “a delicious mouthful of bubbly... smooth, rich and creamy”

  • 92/100 from Natalie MacLean, calling it “toasty and fresh”

  • 89 points from Wine Enthusiast, highlighting its finesse, refined mousse, and flavors of lime, strawberry, brioche, vanilla, and honey

🍽️ Pairing & Versatility

Bright acidity and creamy texture make this wine a natural with shellfish, crab, roasted chicken, sushi, and cheeses—especially softer selections flavored with lemon or herbs. It also shines solo as a vibrant aperitif, perfect for celebrations or light summer meals

🎯 Final Thoughts

Gloria Ferrer Sonoma Brut delivers a polished balance of refreshing citrus fruit, creamy brioche, and lively effervescence. It beautifully bridges elegance and approachability, making it both food-friendly and celebratory—a solid flagship sparkling that consistently earns acclaim.

"An exceptional value. Round and full-bodied, with rich, ripe apple, pear and honeydew melon flavors. This complex sparkler has a nice touch of yeast and doughy aromas that give it added character, turning creamy with a touch of vanilla." Wine Spectator 90 Points
